At Newland , we strongly believe in empowering people and creating a sustainable environment – we believe in making everyone’s jobs easier, simpler, and more intuitive. That translates into equality, sustainability, and empowering others both locally and globally.
In this report, we'll walk you through the highlights, accomplishments, and impact of our CSR initiatives from reducing our carbon footprint to empowering communities. These efforts are a result of the collaborative spirit and dedication of our amazing team and partners!
Driving Change
Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity
We do not discriminate. At Newland , we treat everyone equally. We do not discriminate based on sexual orientation, disability, or ethnicity.
(PS – nearly 50% of our management team is female and that’s only because the team consists of an odd number.)
Reduce, Repair, Recycle
Efficient stock management and shipping policies enable us to reduce our carbon footprint and waste.
We are big on the repair. To reduce waste and improve service, we allow end users and partners to purchase spare parts. If they are unable to perform the repairs, we have service points throughout the region not only to provide better and faster service but also to reduce our carbon footprint.
We can’t make our scanners from paper, but we can and do use recycled materials for all of our shipments from organic and biodegradable packing peanuts to reusing materials and packaging.
Nature’s barcodes
Like every barcode is unique, each tree is unique. Puns aside, together with our partners we’re planting 7000 trees and our goal is to go beyond double that number.
Empower each other
Causes
We’ve donated €30,000+ in aid, such as food and medical equipment, to support war victims.
Supporting local children and sports
We support local soccer teams because we believe that every child should be able to play to their heart’s content. We give these kids a place to connect with each other, build teamwork skills, and be able to play the game itself!
Not only kids but also adults should value their physical health and mental resilience. We help people at our local gym to participate in the local, yearly mud run! It’s healthy and it embodies our love for fun.
Workplace ethics
We take great care to treat all employees equally. We hope our suppliers, partners, and distributors take equally great care in providing a safe working environment with fair pay, hours, and regulations.
In short, Newland drives change towards equality, fair working conditions, and making the world a more sustainable and fun place.
